I got maried here so love the place, although it was extremely quiet, especially on Sunday, so figured I should leave some honest feedback in hope changes can be made to vring it back to life :) * We really missed the Jacuzzi bath in the Hart Suite, was a nice luxury selling point. Bring it back if you can. * A little constant bug bear of mine is how tight the tables are in the bar/restaurant. As a 6ft larger man, it is pretty uncomfortable, I get its not an easy change, but ideally you need another few inches on the length of the table to allow a little more free movement. * Re-open access from the rooms to the bar internally, on a rainy day, it's not pleasant to get a cold shower before your breakfast :) * Remind staff to discuss menu options for the food, i completely forgot to ask for chips with my pie and got mashed potatoe (it was still nice) lol * Seasoning provided on the tables - i like easy access to seasoning and although my food was nice, a little extra salt and pepper would have been great. (Not something I wanted to ask for mid meal) * While waiting for our wedding day we had a nice discount card.. a nice little touch. Why not introduce some post marriage discount offers, to encourage the many people who were wed there to keep returning, maybe with their families. I'd honestly welcome some monthly offers from you. * Nice touches - dressing gown and slippers provided, Room Snacks and drinks, comfy bed, quality food, amazing views! All in all though, its a great place, and was a little sad to see it so quiet on a Sunday.. Hopefully things pick up so you can return to opening on a Sunday evening for dinner service which is when we usually eat out :)
Me and my wife love it here. Food is always nice and service is very good. Louie is great. He’s very attentive and professional. After years of coming here, it’s nice to see the same members of staff. It shows that it must be a nice place to work. We’ve also stayed here numerous times! Even had our wedding reception here! The rooms are really cosy and have a nice feel to them. Can’t wait for our next visit!
Situated off the beaten track near Alfreton is the a wonderful Inn - the White Hart. This is the second time we have stayed but the first for dinner. Breakfast is always included which just makes things simple. Ample parking and outside seating completes the perfect setting. From the pub and restaurant to the bedrooms, the inn has a simple style with ‘real’ wood furniture that is so hefty but adds a true feel of the country and luxury. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and there is always a lovely view. The pub and restaurant are also well presented and welcoming. Our servers at dinner Nathan and Summer were a credit. Food was excellent, well priced and generous. Good home cooked and homemade food. Breakfasts are also generous and again made with quality ingredient’s. My only comment is that it would be nice to have a cappuccino as an alternative to the filter coffee. All in all another lovely stay hopefully to be repeated in the not too distant future.
We enjoyed a 2 night stay. Its a lovely location, plenty of parking, and a great place to eat and drink on site. The beds and pillows were a little lumpy, but the showers were great. Breakfast was good, especially the hot cooked food

We had our wedding at The White Hart and we had the most incredible day. The staff are so attentive and kind, the food was incredible and we could not have asked for more. Katy the coordinator made sure everything ran smoothly, and the day was perfect from start to finish. Thank you so much to the White Hart team, you all work so incredibly hard and we appreciated every person involved in our day. Cannot recommend this wedding venue enough!
Booked in for the Pie and a Pint night. £14.50 each was really good value as the pies, chips and peas are excellent. We had the Venison and Red Wine along with the Lamb and Mint. The pastry in both was great along with the sides and the gravy. All good all, a great meal at a great price!

Always a great place for a wedding. The food really is exceptional. I shot another recently and had a wonderful family day. Ait conditioned rooms are a major added bonus for bridal prep and to take the edge off during your ceremony.
